MODULAR FLOATING DOCK SYSTEM for aquatic sports and aqua
culture
25 years experience in "state of the art" flotation
engineering worldwide, together with cutting edge technology and the most advanced
production techniques are the base for the new, extremely versatile "Pontoon Building
- Block System". By utilizing the friction co-efficient achieved by independently
controlled flooding of the modules we have refined this system to provide not only the
most stable floating platform available, but also a high load capacity, which can also be
combined with a fender-sidebar system.
The individual modules are easy to handle (weight: 6.2 kg) and
have a very high load capacity of 360 kg/m2 (=75 lbs/sq ft). They are made of a
high-quality synthetic, UV-stabilized and anti-static material (green or blue), which is
extremely resistant to the elements. Individual blocks measure 50x50x50 cm (1.65x1.65x1.65
ft) and the standard freeboard is approximately 40 cm. Blocks are easily assembled (with
an assembling wrench) by joining the connecting lugs with bolts that give a secure and
stable connection.
These building blocks can be assembled to meet any desired layout or dimensions, and can
be used to replace or extend existing pontoon systems. This seawater- and acid-resistant
system requires no maintenance or cleaning and is extremely durable. It can be
utilized
throughout the year or the modules can be stacked and stored. Unlike closed floats, this
system does not blow up in the sun and is resistant to attacks from Teredinidae.
Unlike conventional wooden floats, the pontoons are made of a skid-proof material, and
will not rot or develop sharp edges, or expose rusty nails etc. The "Maritime Technic
- Pontoon System" contributes to water purity and is aesthetically pleasing. It has
lugs (ears) along the sides where different accessories can be fitted and anchoring
systems attached.
Swimming ladders safety rails, anchor fastening and and boat -mooring-eyes are the main
accessories, with options such as side screws and bars as well as fenders, ropes and
anchors. If needed, access ramps and gangways can be produced to the customers
design. For marinas electricity distributors (w/wo illumination) and water supply-systems
are available.

ILLUMINATED NET CAGES
for the fingerling production with
natural zooplankton
20
years' experience in the field of global plankton research and fingerling production with
natural plankton and years of tests under different environmental conditions in marine and
fresh water, are the basis of the new "UWG- Solar cage system". The production
method is based on plankton feeding in the natural environment like: lagoons, bays,
fjords, lakes and large ponds, by means of attracting the organisms using a lamp located
in the center of fine meshed submerged nets. Mainly Copepods and Cladoceres - but also a
variety of other zoo plankton are photo sensitive and steadily swarm into the cages
towards the light source. The net cages 2x2x2 m (8 m3) are manufactured from highly
resistant mono filament polyester fabric (with mesh sizes 0,3 to 1,8 mm), is fitted with a
zipper for easy access and a conduit for the electric cable. The net cage is stretched
onto a strong stainless steel or aluminum frame. An efficient solar generator is supplied
for remote site operation. An electrical transformer can be supplied in order to reduce
voltage to safer levels for use with water. Depending on the zoo plankton populations, the
fish stocking density (from the fry stage to fingerling size of 5 cm length) can come to
5.000 Ind./m3 and survival rates of more than 90 % have been achieved with various marine
and freshwater fish species.
Operation and maintenance is limited to: the functional control of the system, a periodic
cleaning with a portable high pressure cleaner, in order to prevent clogging effects
caused by detritus, algae and faces, and the observations of the plankton development in
the location. The system is environmentally safe since: no feeds or fertilizer are
applied, the construction materials are inert, and the plankton consumption is minimal and
does not affect the natural stocks.
UNDERWATER LAMPS to increase growth and delay maturity
This
new underwater lamps with LED (Light Emitting Diode) are especially energy
saving and have a long service life (approx. 30,000 hours). They are used
successfully in both fresh- and seawater, either in the night to attract
various aquatic organisms (like zooplankton or squid), or during the winter for
the simulation of daylight (24 h/day) to delay maturation and increase growth (up to 10-30
%) in several fish species (like Salmon or Cod etc.). The professional lamps are
available with different light colors: blue (approx. 40 lm/W), yellow
(approx. 60 lm/W), green (approx. 80 lm/W), or white (approx. 100 lm/W = Lumens/Watt),
whereby optimal to attract zooplankton (copepods, phyllopods) is blue light
(around 450 nm), to attract squid, shrimp and fish in seawater is green light (around
500 nm), and to attract fish in freshwater is yellow light (around 600 nm).
To simulate daylight, mainly blue or white light is used, whereby blue light
penetrates furthest in water but white light comes closest to the natural
light spectrum and can be used for all or
general purposes. The recommended power in white LED light
(4,000-6,000 Kelvin) is about 1-3 Watt/m2 of the holding unit
(tank or cage). The self-sinking and water-proof (IP68) lamps can be
used for a water depth up to 10 m (1 bar) and a water temperature up to 30 °C.
They are made from high quality plastic and stainless steel
(AISI316), with LED's (SMD 3528) placed on 4 sides for a 360 degree
lighting angle, which reaches up to 5 m (depending on water turbidity).
This submersible lamps are delivered complete with a fixed cable (5 m) and
are available for 12 V/DC with two crocodile clips.

PRECISION CLOTHS for aquaculture and
hydrobiology

This fabric program includes precision
sieves of different material strengths and offers a narrow mesh grading between 20-2000
micrometer and therefore fulfills all requirements of today's aquaculture and hydrological
needs. Appropriate sieve fabrics are offered per running meter and as standard or
customized products, such as filter-, dip-, hatching-, cage- and plankton-nets.
In Austria a catch of zooplankton for the production of fry and fingerlings is commonly
practiced since more than 50 years. During the last years several important
optimizations are archived allowing a better net construction and easy catching. With
appropriate designed plankton nets, harvests of several tons per day can be
achieved.
Thanks' to this Austrian development of special sieve-net-systems, it is possible to grad
the plankton in 3 different size classes during the catch. The result is the correct
plankton size for all development stages from fish larvae to fry and fingerling. An
expensive and complicated indoor-production of prey organisms (such as: Algae, Rotatoria,
Artemia, Daphnia etc.) is not necessary.
SHADING SHEETS AND NETS to protect fishes

Shades and nets are made from UV-stable polyethylene material with a
shading density of 30-85 % to protect fish and ponds from light and birds. The sheets
which let water (from rain) to drain off, are available on coils from 1,5 and 3,0 m width
and can be manufactured with extra strong hem and eyes. For pricing always the width of
the coil is calculated.
We deliver also bird protection nets with a mesh size of 15 - 150
mm.
TRAPS made of plastic material

This easy to handle and maintenance free plastic traps
have been tested in practice and are suitable for both professional and sport fisherman.
Features such as a new shape and correct coloring are the result of fishing
expertise's. A
favorable price/performance rate ensures highest economy in use. Of course the traps are
saltwater and corrosion resistant and also resistant to crabs and other pests. This traps
(with exchangeable components) have an inlet opening of approx. 42 cm and an integrated
bait basket in the closed end cap. The traps are specially suitable for catching eels, but
can also be used for other fish species as well as crayfish. This traps are delivered
complete with plastic covered iron spits (12 mm Ø) for submerging, which guarantee that
the trap is always positioned with the upper closed side on top, which in turn created a
protection shelter for the animals.

Eel-trap: 2-throats, approx. 1,5 m long, weight 4.2 kg
Crayfish-trap: 2-throats, approx. 0,6 m long, weight 1.0 kg
The requirement for seafood continually rises
worldwide, and product is continually becoming more scarce. Aquaculture is a young,
innovative part of economy with high growth rates and secure prospects. The future of fish
production requires water to be used as economical as possible, and environmentally safe
removal of waste products with lowest possible energy consumption. Demands of environment
legislation reduce possibilities of open water fish production more and more. Already
existing fish farms are confronted with directions for purification of their waste waters.
This accelerates the development of intensive, water saving systems for fish production
which do not depend upon natural environmental factors. Production in a closed water
systems offers more a compact growing environment for fish, low shared personal costs and
good profits.
In such systems the waste water, which is loaded with metabolic by-products, is recycled
through biological and physical purification and more than 90 % re-used. Through
improvement of the re-circulation and filter technique we are able to offer an very
efficient, easy and cost effective system for fresh and seawater. Risk minimization,
process control and fish health are factors considered in our designs and re-circulation
systems are produced in module-construction. Each module is an autonomous working system
and is therefore the water is not transferred between modules. Depending on system size
and customer wishes our systems will be supplied with modern measuring, regulation and
security technique and working accessory. Depending on the requirements (production
capacity, conditions and species) we offer generally two systems:
RECIRCULATION SYSTEMS for nursing and holding
The modules for nursery and holding are available for a yearly
production-capacity of 1-2 t (125-250 kg standing crop) and consists of 2 square and 1
filter tanks with the needed technique and equipment. The water from the
fish pools are
cleaned through a particle filter to remove suspended solids prior to bio-filtration. The
bacterial settlement for nitrification will develop on the packages of the reactor, mud
will be removed through the current. Our bio-reactors have the gigantic settlement-area of
over 900 m2 per cubic meter filter material and therefore we need only very small filter
units. Through the introduction of fine air bubbles through a special aeration- and lift
construction our systems work without pumps and therefore require less energy thereby
reducing costs. Through compact construction, our systems can be installed any time and
anywhere without rebuilding or extension expense. Aquaponic kits or hydroponic
sets are
available optionally.

RECIRCULATION SYSTEMS for the intensive production
The modules for production are available for a yearly
production-capacity of min 25 t/year (standing crop 10 t) onward and allow our customers to
get familiar with the technique and topic without high risks. The water from the
fish pools
are cleaned through a drum filter to remove suspended solids prior to bio-filtration,
where the nitrification process and the aeration with oxygen takes place. From there
the water is pumped to the fish tanks, witch could be adapted to customer wishes in form,
size and number. The use of UV- or ozone is possible too. This system is available for all
fish species (also salmonids).

plastic)
mounted on a noise reducing plate made of plastic.
An automatic backwash system is available for all models and guarantees high comfort and
safety. The special filter sand (0.4-6.0 mm) is available as accessories.
FILTER CHAMBERS with swirl separator
This new compact filters
are used specially for holding units and garden ponds and are very effective for the fine
and raw filtration. The system can be operated by gravity or pumps and can be placed into
the ground or stands free. A long inlet opening secures that the water in the vortex
rotates slowly, so that the larger waste particles are trapped in the center of the bottom.
The build-in flow channels force the water to flow trough the filter media (i.e.: Filter
brushes, Japan matts, Sinter glass, Aqua rock, Bio balls, Poly foam etc.). The waste
particles concentrate at each cone, where they can be removed regularly by opening of a
gate valve. The models are made from galssfibre reinforced polyester (GRP) and are
delivered with cover and outlet pipes. They are available with or without filter material.

DRUMM FILTERS with high cleaning capacity
We offer a complete product
range of drum-filters with a diameter of 0,4-2,0 m and 1-40 filter plates
with mesh screens from 20-100 micro meter (µm) for flow capacities of up to
900 l/s. This drumfilters for the
mechanical cleaning of low to medium loaded aquaculture or industry waste
waters are made from stainless steel and are available complete with or without
installation tank. The operating system of this special drum filter is
pretty simple but very effective. The water to be filtered is directed by
gravity into a rotating drum. The outer surface of the drum is constructed
with a number of exchangeable frames covered with fine mesh screens. Particles larger than the perforations, unable
to pass through the mesh are retained in the drum as the water pass through
the filter from inside to outside, without pressure.
The slowly rotating drum lifts them outside of the water, where a cleaning
pump cleans the screen by special nozzles and discharges the solids by
gravity through a discharge ramp. Optionally, a control box and an
adjustable timer or automatic water level sensor can be supplied,
which activates the drum rotation and cleaning pump only if the filter
screen is clogged and the water level in the filter rises. This allows to
keep energy and water consumption low.
PROTEIN SKIMMERS for aquaculture and aquaria
This protein
scimmers have a good dimensioned volume of the reaction- and foam tube. A special
injection unit generates a vacuum, where air is sucked in and distributed in fine bubbles.
In seawater the single bubbles have a volume of 0,065 mm3, a surface of 0,785 mm2 and a
diameter of 0,5 mm. Each liter air generates therefore a total surface of 12 m2. A
rotating (patented) nozzle system cleans the foam tube and the foam collector. Over a
valve (optional automatic) water cleans the nozzle systems. A regulating system allows to
operate the skimmer also under extreme differing situations of water column.
Each skimmer, made from acryl and/or
polypropylene (on request also from polyethylene), could be
also used as ozone reactor. The optimal
retention time is about 2 min., if the flow rate is increased the retention time decrease.

BIOFILTER MEDIA with high settlement area

For
Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) as well as aquaria and ponds or for
the biological cleaning of waste waters after fish farms or culture ponds we supply the
carrier or settling material for the biofilter which can be used in fixed or
moving bead filters. The filter media are made from HD-PE (density 0,94-0,96
g/cm3) and is available of recycled raw material (black) or virgin raw
material (white). They have a large settlement area for bacteria and allow a
good biological cleaning from ammonia to nitrate
(nitrification) as well as from nitrate to nitrogen (denitrification). The
nitrification rate is approx. 0.5 g NH4-N/m2 in
moving bead or flow filters (in fresh water at a water temperature of over 20 °C). In
fixed bead or sprinkling filters, with a reduced cleaning
capacity respective with more filter material of 20-30 % must be calculated.
In seawater, as well as at water temperatures under 15 °C, with a reduced
cleaning capacity respectively with more filter material of 40-60 % must be
calculated. Other random media (like: chips/flakes/saddles) with up to 5,000
m2/m3, on request.

WATER DESINFECTION with UV-light
Ultraviolet
light (UV) destroys microorganisms (like: virus, bacteria, fungus,
parasites, algae, etc.) by changing their genetic information (DNA), but does
not produce residual or hazardous by-products, nor does it affect the taste, odor or color
characteristics of the treated water. It is light with very high energy levels and
wavelength of 200-400 nanometer (nm). The most effective ultraviolet light for
disinfection is UV-C (200-280 nm), specially with a wavelength of 254 nm.
The heart of the UV systems are high-performance lamps (low pressure
technology) which provide a stable UV output through a wider temperature range
(1-45 °C). This
special lamps show higher degrees of effectiveness and stability than other
conventional lamps. They also exhibit a high UV power output (up to three times more than
competitive low pressure lamps) and long operating live (9,000 h), resulting in decreased
overall costs. The efficient lamps have a high UV emission in the area of the effective
wavelengths (254 nm), that makes it possible to destroy up to 99.99 % of all pathogens
in water. To further increase efficiency, reliability and service lifetime, electronic
power supplies (ballasts) for the lamps where developed. In addition, the new electronic
ballast replaces several components required in conventional systems, reducing overall
electrical cabinet size and heat transfer requirements.
By studying various reactor geometries with respect to the UV intensity distribution and
hydraulic characteristics (0.5-6.0 bar), specific reactors types in stainless steel (AISI
316 or V4A) with
1-16 lamps where developed to provide effective
disinfection while minimizing overall power requirements. Our systems have a modular
design, which enables us to draw up solutions that are specified to our clients' needs in
all areas of ultraviolet disinfection for up to several m3/h. This systems are
characterized by their high disinfection performance, combined with compact construction
and low energy consumption (220-240 V/50-60 Hz).

SUBMERSIBLE STERILIZERS for pipes, cannels and tanks
 This UVC submersible emitters
acts in order to sterilize water in pipes, canals, tanks and ponds etc. The
diving emitters are made of stainless steel and accomplished as watertight.
The (30 mm diameter, 25-155 cm long) tube of the diving lamp is sealed up
(IP68) and screwed in the
stainless steel (AISI 306 or V4A) case. The unit can be assembled or
retrofitted with few movements. The diving emitter gets fixed by spring
terminals on a stainless steel fixture (weight approx. 0,4-0,8 kg). The pre-switch electronics (230 V),
properly attuned to the emitter, is included in the delivery and integrated in a switchboard
(weight approx. 2 kg). Consequently an access or function control
during the operation of the unit are warranted. The fuse protection by a
GFCI ground fault circuit interrupter is necessary. The lifetime of
high-power radiation (Quicksilver or Amalgam) is 16.000 h - quality you can
rely on. The 3 m cable between the lamp and ballast can be extended on
request on 6 or 9 m. Simply installation and maintenance in existing plants
and pools. The watertight emitter can be mounted with a mounting plate on
the wall or bottom or floating or hanging without any plate.

ULTRASOUND DECVICE to destroy algae and protozoa
Algae are problematic in many water areas and
can create huge problems and high costs in industry, agriculture and other fields
where
water is used. Algae also make ponds and pools to ugly holes and can settle on boat hulls
- where expensive antifouling coatings are necessary. This digital ultrasound devices
(100-250 V/50-60 Hz AC or 12-24 V/1,5-2,0 A DC) send to the
water (pond, pool or lake) special ultrasonic sound waves in periodic time scales trough
the transducer in an angel of 180° on the front side. The wave
length is depending on the type of the device and the mentioned
distances are based on average values which can vary according to local circumstances,
like water quality and water plants etc. In every algae the is a microscopic liquid
bubble called vacuole. Our digital ultrasound device force that to swing which burst and
finally kill the algae. But this is specific to different algae species.
Single cell algae are killed after a treatment of 7-10 days, but filamentous algae need a
longer treatment and die after 3-7 weeks. In which time the water will get clear depends
also on the biological balance in the water. But also the quality and capacity of the
eventually installed filter plays an important role. Additionally, with the ultrasound
also the biological film (which builds up as sludge on the bottom or wall) in your water
will be reduced and remove the base for many diseases pathogens like fungi or bacteria
etc. The created ultrasound are not to hear for humans. If the device is in operation you
may hear just a little ticking. But some other animals like dogs can hear it and may stay
away from the device. Other is the whole with fishes, which some customers report
prefer
the ultrasound and stay nearby may because their skin is cleaned from parasites. Fishes
feel not only better but also grow faster and are healthier with the ultrasound device.

INJECTION AERATORS for aeration, circulation,
destratification and oxygenation

This injectors are one of the best and most advanced
aeration systems worldwide, and also suitable for large ponds. They work with an for
endurance run produced, maintenance free, turnable, submerged (also seawater resistant),
motor in different power sizes (0.75-1.50 kw (1.0-2.0 HP) 230 or 380 V/50 Hz). The rotating
propeller (2800 r.p.m.) produces an adjustable current, through which air drawn from the
surface and formed into fine evenly distributed bubbles.
The diffused air aerate from the bottom up and the circulation created from the fine
bubbles displaces the surrounding water, thus breaking up stratified water areas. This
constant surge forces the pond to turn over, bringing cooler bottom water to the surface,
where it picks up additional oxygen from the atmosphere. Therefore the dissolved oxygen is
always as high as possible. Through the eutrophication process (of faces and feeds) there
is usually oxygen deficit at depth, therefore this system works to an adjustable depth and
introduces the oxygen where it is needed, not only on the surface. If submerged, pure
oxygen instead of air can be introduced with exact dosage. Long contact time of the
fine bubbles in the water, ensures also this system is very effective. Depending on power
and depth, the air flow rate is up to 35 cubic meter/hour and the oxygen introduction up
to 3 kg/h/kw. At an oxygen content of 6 mg O2/l at beginning, one 1.0 HP unit in use with
air, introduce over 0.32 kg O2/h which is the oxygen demand for over 2600 kg (table sized
250 g) trout at a water temperature of 10 °C, for approx. 1000 kg at 20 °C or up to
3000 kg of other species.
Depending on installation, depth and current, sediments can also be cleaned. If the
aerator is positioned near the water surface it also acts as an ice clearing machine in
winter. Strong circulation also eliminates pond stratification and organic matter
deposition. Finally thanks to the floatation phenomenon (foaming), this aerators make it
possible to remove excess algae proliferation, colloidal substances, mud and any other
suspended particles and improve water quality. With this proven system, all variants of
aeration, current creation and oxygenation are possible. These proven aerators are
supplied complete with motor, supports, float kit and propeller protection fingers. They
are lightweight compact systems ( 21 kg), and very easy to install.
INJECTORS without further energy consumption
This "ECO" injector is a new developed
static aerator for the water inlet pipe (1 ") in tanks, raceways and small ponds,
that works hydraulically and has no moving parts. It is designed to ensure cost-effective
use of any viable water source. For degassing, aeration, oxygenation and dosing with
chemicals (thereby avoiding the slightest wastage and maximizing efficiency). In
enriching the water with air or pure oxygen, this aerator can create good circulation with
a lesser amount of water than is usually supplied, with consequent energy savings. It
works hydraulically (from 0.2 bar and 0.4 l/sec. on) exploiting the act the water passing
through it at high speed (achieved by means of suitable flow rates and pressures with the
special 3 interchangeable nozzles (for approx. 30, 50 or 100 liter/minute) and creates a
great pressure drop and consequently a tremendous suction capacity, without introducing
additional energy. If no pressure is available it can be connected to any pump.
PROPELLER AERATOR with horizontal spray pattern
 This
propeller aerator was specially developed for intensive production of fish in tanks,
raceways and ponds. The maintenance free, heavy duty, motor (230 or 380 Volt) has a
mounted propeller which allows a high water circulation and has an oxygen
transfer rate
of up to 1.25 kg/kwh or with 6 mg/l at beginning approx. 0.4 kg/kwh. The small float size (70 x 70 cm) as well as the compact and
lightweight system make it fast and easy to install.

PADDLEWHEEL AERATORS for intensive
production
This paddlewheel aerators widely used all over the world,
special
in intensive ponds and raceways. They are available with 2-6 paddle wheels, in different
power ratings from 0,75 to 2,20 kw (for 220 or 380 Volt) and have a weight of 80-120 kg.
The oxygen introduction is up to 1.5 kg/kwh or with 6 mg/l at beginning
approx. 0.5 kg/kwh. Wheel and frame are made of steel,
the paddles from special plastic material and the H-formed floats from thick UV- and ozone
resistant plastic.
PADDLEWHEEL SYSTEMS for effective oxygen
introduction
Aeration and/or oxygenation is specially of economic
importance in intensive farms. At this completely new developed systems all possible
failures and defects of other known products have been removed. The systems have been
tested under hardest conditions and have a very high efficiency, with the same time low
investment and operation costs. The oxygen introduction is usually about 1.6 kg/kwh. There
are no bearings of the wheel (100-130 r.p.m) necessary and also no couplings and discs,
this reduce friction lost and increase the efficiency and also reduce the possible
parts
which could become defect with time. A very long self live and high
efficiency is also
guaranteed through the worm-gearing. The motor is specially sealed against moisture.
Paddles, wheel and frame are made of stainless steel, the floats from thick UV- and ozone
resistant material. The Paddlewheel Aerators are available in different power ratings
(180, 250, 370, 550 and 750 Watt) and have dimensions of approx. 1.5 x 1.6 x 0.6 m (LxWxH)
and a weight of 30-70 kg.
To use this paddlewheel aerators also
with pure oxygen instead of air, as accessories a special oxygen cover is available. The
special formed cover inside guarantees that no oxygen (feed up to 15 l/min) disperse or
waste to the surface, after the water leaves the aerator. As there are no seals necessary
at the bearing of the wheel, also this guarantees that there is no oxygen wasted and thus
this makes the system very effective too. The efficiency is up to 90 %
and the
oxygen introduction up to 2-3 kg O2/h.
RUBBER DIFFUSER with stainless steel frame
This professional, extremely durable and effective diffusers are suitable
for the live fish transport and for emergency purposes with pure oxygen. The approx. 1000
pores/meter arranged in 6 rows, of the special oxygen hose open only if oxygen is supplied
and close again if the supply stops. Thus, pore blockage is prevented and the diffuser is
always ready to operate. An uniform bubble size due to the straight hose mounting in a
stainless steel frame are main features of this professional diffusers. The sturdy hose
connection is 6 mm as standard (and is also available in 9 mm if preferred).

CERAMIC PLATE DIFFUSERS for micro
gas bubbles
This diffusers are robust
engineered products with high performance. The ceramic plate has been designed to be strong
and thick (approx. 10 mm) which gives a very small bubble size and are used
where a small high rate diffuser with a high oxygen transfer efficiency is
required. The small pore size of the ceramic plate produces a cloud of tiny
gas
bubbles (100-400 microns) in the water to reach an oxygen saturation of over
120 %. The gas (oxygen or ozone) flow is optimally up to 1-2 and maximally
up to 2-8 l/min, depending on pressure, bus as lower the flow as smaller the
bubbles and as higher the efficiency. Efficiency also depends on
installation water depth and can be up to 90 %. The working gas pressure is
1.5-2.5 bar and should not be over 3.0 bar as it may result in damage to the diffuser.
The ceramic flat plate diffusers are available with blue aluminum or plastic
housing (height 25 mm) in different sizes, have 4 mounting holes and a
threaded inlet with adapter (6-8 mm) to connect the pressure hose.

CERAMIC PIPE DIFFUSERS for air
 The fine
pored
ceramic tubes allow to diffuse the air in fine bubbles. The diffusers should be installed
in the same depth, but as deep as possible below the water surface. The floating cross
diffuser is placed on the water surface in the center of the tank or pond and fixed with a
rope to the shore so that it can move a little and aerate a larger area.
The cross diffusers are available complete with 20 mm hose tail (other on request) and are
delivered with or without float. The 1 m long feeding tube is also available shorter.
Each diffuser tube has a length of 18 cm and a diameter of 6 cm and can introduce approx.
1.5 to 2.0 m3 air/hour each (6-8 m3 per cross diffuser). They are also available as self
sinking single tube diffusers with hose tail.
FLEXIBLE GAS DIFFUSERS with high performance
 This is
among the most robust and versatile fine bubble diffusers commercially available. The
diffuser has the capacity to pass large quantities of air, oxygen or carbon dioxide with
low pressure drop and small bubble size (approx. 1-4 mm). Fine bubble diffusion is
inherently more effective than coarse bubble diffusers in providing a greater mixing
action and aeration efficiency. The diffusers are of a tubular semi-flexible construction
(32 mm in diameter). An outer polyester sleeve encases a silica particle ballast and an
inner nylon distributor. The internal ballast is not fused together, therefore
precipitates such as iron and carbonates tend to crack off, and can be flushed out easily.
The internal ballast (weight approx. 1.5 kg/m) means that the diffuser does not need to be
anchored to the floor of the tank. The unique design of the diffusers makes them
largely
resistant to biological and chemical fouling. The diffuser resolves many of the problems
associated with other diffusers and has proven itself with over 10 years of use in many
industrial and waste water treatment applications and it is the leading air diffuser for
aquaculture. This gas diffuser is a hybrid air diffuser with the benefits of both
tubular
membrane and solid air diffusers, but with few of the disadvantages. Solid diffusers can
break or become blocked by biofouling, iron and carbonate precipitation. Membrane and
other tubular diffusers have to be secured to the tank bottom. The membranes (elastomers)
can also suffer from fatigue, and as a consequence the performance can rapidly tail off
over a few months.
The diffusers are sized (up to 3 m in length, and with extension parts also longer)
according to the flow (m3/h) of air to be used. Length is approx. 33 cm per m3/h air or
liter oxygen/min flow rate and pressure drop is approx. 200 mbar (<3 psi). All diffusers are
supplied with 1/4-1/2" hose tails.
MEMBRANE COMPRESSORS for Direct Current
 This
simple
membrane diaphragm compressors supply oil-free air and are perfectly suitable for live
fish transports, where the required energy (12 V/DC standard, 24 V/DC on request) can be
supplied by a battery i.e. from the truck. As accessories 6 mm hoses and various diffusers
are available.

REGENERATIVE BLOWERS for pressure or vacuum generation
 This reliable and favorable blowers
summaries modern know-how of pressure and
vacuum generation, based on longtime experiences. The motor is constructed for endurance
run is available in various power sizes. Concerning the compact dimensions and the low
sound this blowers are easy and everywhere to install. Lateral channel blowers work
regenerative. Casing and impeller with radial blades form a circular body. The medium
(air) is accelerated by centrifugal force in the blade channels, stocked and compressed.
This process continues permanently with continually increasing pressure rising until the
medium leaves the casing through the outlet connection. Because of the special principle
of construction and design, there is no contact between rotating parts. The machines are delivered as mono stage (M) or double stage (D) blowers with
single (S) or twin (T) impeller.
As accessories air filters, sound absorbers and security valves are

OXYGEN GENERATOR SYSTEMS for intensive aquaculture
I n recent years, fish
farming has turned into high density farming practice and pure oxygen is essential in
modern aquaculture. Several studies have shown adding dissolved oxygen into water
on fish farms has a very positive effect on growth rates, feed conversion and
mortality rates, all factors that will affect the profitability significantly. On-site
oxygen generators allow an uninterrupted supply of gas with a high purity output
(adjustable 85-95 %, outlet pressure 4 bar). This means that you can produce gas where and
when you need it, and in the exact quantity and quality you need, to reach gas
self-sufficiency and independence from external gas suppliers. This oxygen
generators are known as reliable, easy to use and low operational cost. They save energy
and money as supply of oxygen cylinders or rent of liquid oxygen tanks becomes irrelevant.
The average oxygen production cost are about 1,1 kwh per cubic meter of oxygen. An oxygen
generator combined with cylinder gives the highest level of backup in comparison with
cylinders it gives overall cost reduction up to 80 %. We use only high quality components
and all systems are designed for 24 hours, 365 days a years operation. They are
easy to operate and require minimum amount of maintenance and service.
This proved generators are based on the well-known PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption)
technology, using two pressurized columns with molecular sieves to ensure continuous
production. Dry compressed air is blown through a valve to the vessel where the pressure
is built to reach 5 to 7 bar(g). Oxygen is tied to a molecular sieve during the building
of pressure and the nitrogen is allowed to pass through to the accumulation tank.
While pressure is built in vessel, the second remains without pressure. A part of the
produced gas is used for regeneration of the molecular sieve, which, in the case of
Nitrogen, is a Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS). The entire PSA system can be subdivided into
several components like: air compressor, air dryer, air tank, oxygen generator, oxygen
tank and accessories. The models are available with a capacity in the range from under 1 to
over 400 m3/hour (at an oxygen purity of 90 %). Oxygen cylinder filling stations are
available on request.

SATUROMETER to identify gas super-saturation
This new handheld saturometer
(Protection class IP65, with electric backlight display identifies gas super-saturation in
water reliably to 250 hPa resp. mbar pressure difference (displayed also as % total gas
saturation), with an accuracy of 1 hPa. It works with a usual 6 x 1.5 Lithium cells, with
integrated capacity monitoring on the meter. The maintenance free sensor is
completely
sealed (Protection class IP67, Signal outlet 0-5 V). As option also oxygen
(O2) and/or carbondioxyd (CO2) sensors can
be connected to the meter, and with the optional software it than even
calculates nitrogen (N2).
The gas bubble disease is very often present undetected and leads to significant damage in
the fish stock. If fish are being exposed to oversaturation continuously, they will suffer
from it no matter which gas contributed most to the supersaturation! In experiments it was
proven, that a continuous charge with only low levels of super-saturation has a significant
negative impact on the fish immune system. A fish stock infected with IPN (Infectious
Pancreas Necrosis) produced losses of 10-15 % after 90 days whereas fish from the same
stock exposed to super-saturation showed a mortality rate of 65 %. The gas bubbles
themselves cause a lot of direct damages like lesions and embolism. Those alone are lethal
in some cases. But in every case they open the door for secondary infections which can not
be repelled by a weakened immune system. Another typical sample is a trout breeder who
reported fin rot and saprolegnia on the fish body. Measures showed a gas pressure of 45
hPa which equaled to 105 % gas saturation. It may not sound high but the pectoral fins
were severely damaged by gas bubble lesions. The fin rot and fungus (Saprolegnia) were
clearly produced by an undetected gas oversaturation.
We deliver also moisture meters.
WATERPROOF METERS for easy measurement

OPTICAL DISSOLVED OXYGEN SENSOR to connect on systems or computers
This new development is the first optical oxygen sensor with SCS interface (Simulation Clark-Sensor), for a perfect integration into running systems. The ideal substitute for your existing oxygen sensors. Via the SCS interface downward compatible to classic oxygen sensors (galvanic isolation), works together with classic transmitters. Additionally, the sensor can be connected via the 4 to 20 mA current output or with a process control system (SPS). As
accessories, a PC-adapter (USB-RS485) is available, with which the sensor can be connected directly to a personal computer, and configures from there (Software for free), where just a net-device is needed and no external meter. The calibration is simple and only needed once as the calibration data can be stored in the sensor. The robust and simply exchangeable sensor cap has a warranty of 2 years. It guarantees stable values at once, little drift, quick reaction time, and all independent from incoming flow. The sensor has no sensitivity towards H2S or CO2, but an automatic temperature compensation and malfunction diagnosis.
Measurement range 0-20 mg/l, 0-200 % sat., resolution (at 25 °C) +/- 1 %, limit 0.1 %, reaction time < 60 s, temperature range -5 to +50 °C. The sensor can be delivered with an IP68 termination plug or with a fixed cable in different lengths. For mounting in a probe holder the sensor can be delivered optionally with a 1" process connector. For fish farming there is a robust version with a biting-protection with nut inserts available for water depth up to 20 m. A display- and regulation system (for up to 8 sensors) is available as
accessories.
MODULAR MULTIPARAMETER measurement and control system
When it comes to automatically controlling and adjusting critical water parameters, it leaves nothing to be desired. Due to its flexible modular concept, the system is the perfect solution for most applications in aquatic environments. Apart from comprehensive timing functions, it provides measuring modules for the parameters of pH value, redox potential, temperature, conductivity, level (fill level), oxygen and air pressure. Up to 8 sensors can be linked to the system in any requested combination. This allows, for instance, simultaneous pH value-measurement and adjustment in eight different pools – which is so far unique. Connection facilities for up to eight measuring modules in any requested combination allows for connecting up to 16 switching outputs (4x4) for control and adjustment functions measured data storage for 2000 measuring chains battery backed computer interface for PC-data evaluation with the software, capable of being network-integrated by LAN adapter, flash memory technology for update-function, automatic sensor identification and sensor testing, day/night simulation, lunar phase simulation, high/low tide simulation, flow simulation, timer clock functions, time interval functions, night modus, acoustic, optical and external alarm, etc.
The system provides greatest accuracy, ease of use, and maximum reliability. The systems are available as measuring/regulation systems with a switch socket and mains adapter for permanent operation. Besides its accomplished design, its practical special functions are thoroughly convincing, too. It is this facility that gives you the overall picture of your past readings thus quickly revealing any trends. The systems can be extended, even at a later date, to form a measuring and regulation system designed for permanent operation, simply by connecting the optionally available power station. An integrated alarm function assures greater safety. You can select an upper as well as a lower alarm setting. If, for whatever reason, one of these alarm settings is reached, the Power Station switch socket will be turned off. At the same time the alarm status will be appear on the display. The result is a reliable and effective prevention of damage. Microprocessor-controlled, Alarm function, Large display panel, Manual / automatic storage of measurements (up to 470 readings), Automatic transition to energy-saving mode when being run on batteries, Battery check, Semi-automatic calibration with sensor test (for pH, redox, conductivity, oxygen), High-quality, low-maintenance sensors.
The software is the central and convenient solution for controlling, adjusting and analyzing all industrial measurement and control systems. At just one glance, the user can check out if everything is okay – and interfere if necessary. Internet connection allows for controlling and adjusting the system even from remote PCs. It allows for analyzing and controlling the data measured by up to 255 industrial systems in one central PC. Allows for configuring all system parameters from PC, allows for status e-mails and SMS alarms, data base and graphical presentation of measured data and measured value evaluation.

HATCHING JARS made from plastic
Used successfully for over 20 years by
federal, state and professional hatcheries and fish producers here and abroad, this jar
can be used for a wide variety of species like: Salmonids, Thymallids, Coregonids,
Acipenserids, Percids, etc. Made of high impact, non-corrosive easy to clean plastic, this
uniquely designed hatching system enables uniformly distributed water to rotate fish eggs
ever so gently and evenly. It works very simply as water from the supplying hose is
directed down to the open-ended feeder tube in the center of the jar. The tube (diameter 3
cm = 1.25 in.) easily accommodates the preferred water flow so that the eggs at the base
are rotated uniformly and precisely. The jar has a height of 45.8 cm (18 in.) a diameter
of 16 cm (6.25 in.) and a volume of 6.86 l (232 oz.). It weighs only 2.5 pounds and can be
ordered complete or also without feeder tube and screen. A circular filter/mesh screen (as
accessories) prevents waste eggs from spilling out of the jar, while the large spout (length
7.5 cm = 3 in., width 5.3 cm = 2 in.) at the top lets hatched fish swim out at just the
right time. Now you can virtually duplicate nature's way of hatching eggs with this
durable, see-through incubator jar. So next time you want your eggs "over easy",
make sure you are using this hatching jar.
INCUBATION JAR SYSTEMS with overflow
This simple and cheap jar system is
suitable for hatching of eggs of various fish species, like carp, pike,
perch, catfish, burbot, sturgeon etc. It is made of stainless steel frame
and saves space and water. Each "Weiss or Zougg" jar made of glass with a
volume of about 9 liters and bottom sieve, has a its own inlet pipe with
valve and a overflow with pipe, so that it can be supplied individually with
water. After hatching the larvae usually leave the jars by themself with the
water flow or are removed by the farmer from the jar. The system can be
build with any number of jars (up to 10 pieces in single and up to 20 pieces
in double row).
BREEDING JAR SYSTEM with top tank
 This well
designed systems are made of stainless steel and are equipped with "zougg or
weiss" glass jars witch can be removed and serviced separately. Through the inlet tank
on top, all jars can be individually supplied with water. The tank and feet are
somewhat
adjustable in height. The eggs of various fish species (Cyprinids, Esocids, Thymallids,
Coregonids etc.) are incubated in the jars and rotated gently by the water flow. A breeding cone for salmonid eggs and an overflow sieve (1-2
mm holes) to avoid eggs or larvae being spilled out by water, is available as
accessories.
The standard systems have dimensions (LxWxH) of 115-215x40x165-185 cm and are equipped with 3-7
glass jars each with a volume of 8 liters. Other sizes or 3 liter jars are possible on request.
Single jars with or without stand support are available too.
The system can be equipped with a heating/cooling system and in connection with an
UV-sterilizer operated in recirculation.
VERTICAL INCUBATORS to save space
This vertical incubators, originally
developed in America but produced now in Asia, guarantee safe
conditions for the professional breeding and hatching of salmonid eggs
(like: salmon, trout, char etc.) and can be combined and arranged in
different ways, to utilize the available space as effectively as possible.
The water (min. 5 l/min) from the inlet, flow trough the trays on which the
eggs stay, and leaves the water tray over the front during the side canals
to the next tray, were it flows again through the egg tray and so on, so
that all trays will be supplied with sufficient water. Without disturbing
the other trays, each tray (approx. 62x52x8 cm) can be drawn out and
controlled easily and provides in the inserts (approx. 45x37x5 cm) perfect
conditions from the fertilized egg to the swim-up stage. They are available
with 5, 8, 10 and stacked with 16 or 20 trays for up to 1 liter or 10,000 eggs per
tray) made from strong non toxic plastic material and includes the stainless steel frame (approx. 64 cm deep, 58-60 cm wide and approx. 50, 84, 100
and 175 or 210 cm high, changes reserved), with 4 adjustable feets (approx.
8 cm high) and all egg trays with polyester screens (approx. 1-2 mm).
VERTICAL INCUBATORS to save water
 This vertical incubator,
newly developed and produced in Europe,
allows optimal conditions for the incubation and hatching of salmonid eggs
(like: trout, charr, grayling etc.) and save water. The water (only 1.8 l/min)
from the top tank with float switch and filter tube flows by gravity trough
the trays, from the central inlet funnel through the sieve baskets where the
eggs stay, and leaves the tray via the outlet holes all around the sides,
where if lows down the cone shaped tray to the next one a.s.o., so that all trays will be
supplied with sufficient oxygen. Without disturbing the other
trays, each tray can be drawn out and controlled easily and provides optimal conditions from the fertilized egg to the swim-up
stage. The corpus made of black plastic has a removable and roll-up
front cover also made of plastic material, which reduces light within the
incubator. The incubator is available with 10 trays and baskets (for 100.000
eggs respectively up to 1 liter eggs per tray) made from aluminum (approx.
40 cm diameter and 5 cm high). The whole incubator has dimensions (W x D x
H) of 48 x 62 x 128 cm. A support frame (45 cm high) made of stainless steel
is available as accessories. The system can optionally be equipped with a heating
and/or cooling system or operated in recirculation.
BREEDING THROUGHS for salmonid eggs
The horizontal through allow an easy survey
of the breeding process and are available for up to 4 or 7 baskets approx. 40 x 40 cm (for
up to 1-2 liter eggs each) made from smooth reinforced glassfiber polyester (approx. 215 or
360 cm long). The screen (1-2 mm holes) of the egg incubation baskets
are fitting exactly. The water (min.
0.1 l/sec) from the
front, flows through the baskets on which the eggs stays, and leaves the
through at the back side, so that all baskets will be supplied with
sufficient water. Without disturbing the other baskets, each basket can be controlled easily from the
top. Optional an outlet screen is available. This
troughs can also be
used for start-feeding of the fry after the yolk sac has been absorbed.
BREEDING BOX for running waters
An experience of many years in egg
incubation and fry rearing, as well as stocking experiments in various waters, where the
base of this new and innovative invention for the hatching of salmonid eggs
(like salmon and trout, as well other species on request) in natural streams. The flood save and closeable box is made of stainless steel with
dimensions of (LxWxH) 90 x 20 x 13 cm, weight approx. 13 kg). It is used for the
professional and controlled incubation and hatching of salmonid eggs as well as for the
breeding and rearing of fry for (re)-stocking purposes. The box is simply set into the
water (front flap against the current and cover a little above the water line) and
anchored by the eyes to the bottom ground. Depending on fish species and egg size, the box
supports a save environment for up to 10.000 eggs and fry until exogenous feeding. The
eggs lay in baskets, which can be fitted with special hatching substrate to reduce
maintenance. Under normal conditions, the maintenance is limited to the
periodical control (1 x per week) of the system, where results of 90-95 % are reached in
average. When the fry reach the stage of exogenous feeding they can distribute
themselves
in the brook or river.
AUTOMATIC FISH EGG SORTER with fiber optics and infrared
light
 This egg sorting
machine uses the most current technology to sort 100,000 eggs per hour. It is available
with both live and dead egg counter or also without counters. Using the patented standard
disk, the egg sorter will sort salmonid eggs from 5,000-18,000 per kg (150 to 500 per
ounce), or if equipped with the salmon disk, it will sort any size salmon egg. Best of
all, you never have to change disks to handle different sizes of eggs. The patented
technology uses fiber optics and modulated infrared light to scan the egg and assure the
highest level of accuracy (approx. 98-99 %). It has been used all around the world and
will accommodate any local voltage. In the interest of safety and reliability, the local
voltage is reduced to 12 volts DC. It has dimensions (LxWxH) of approx. 78 x 35 x 27 cm
(32 x 14 x 11"), a weight of 23.4 kg (52 lbs.), and an egg tank capacity of 19 liters
(5 gallons) and is made of clear and white acrylic plastic. A water and
compressed air supply is needed for operation.
Eyed eggs are placed in the trough with water flowing through the bottom. Several kilogram
of eggs may be loaded at one time. The water flushes the "eyed" eggs against the
patented disk where they are captured in the tapered holes in the outside of the disk.
Once the egg sorter is fitted with the disk matching the type of egg you are sorting
(trout or salmon) it will sort any size egg inserted. The eggs in the disk then pass an
electronic scanning device which, using modulated infrared light, detects dead eggs. All
with 100 % ambient light immunity. Dead eggs are then ejected out one side of the sorter
while the live eggs travel to the opposite side where a gentle flow of air ejects them
into a curtain of water which carries them to a separate container - safe, sound and ready
for further incubation. The counters then increment, providing accurate totals of both
live and dead eggs sorted. Each time a dead egg is detected, a light comes on giving you
visual assurance that everything is working correctly.

dispersion during lightness) to night-feeding (food dispersion during
darkness). The model "UNIVERSAL" has
additionally a larger outlet
and can
additionally be used for granulated seeds or meal feeds and pellets up to 12 mm. The white or green feed hoppers are
available in five sizes (for 15, 25, 45, 75 or 95 liter). As accessories a tube or ring
holder hopper support is available. All models are also available without solar
panel and accumulator, for the connection to a central power supply with transformer and
distributor box (for 1 resp. 8 or up to 12 feeders).
AUTOMATIC FEEDERS with battery pack
This independent feeders were developed in Austria and are successfully used since more than 20
years in small to large fish farms. The user friendly feeding system with
patented mechanism (spindle) allows easy feeding and supply of food to day-
and night active fish or other animals. They can be powered by the supplied battery
(6-12 V/DC), which is recharged with a battery charger (not supplied) or a
solar panel (optionally available). Because of
the optimized system, the batteries have a long self-live, depending on
feeding times and durance, usually about one season. The timer clock, which is integrated in the hopper,
allows exact settings of feeding times and pauses. Standard particle or pellet sizes of feeds can range from 1 to
5 mm, smaller or
larger food particles (also corn or other seeds) are possible optionally.
The robust, grey plastic containers (made from polypropylene) guarantee for
a long life of the feeder. The standard feeders range from hoppers
with a volume of 10 to 180 liter (larger hoppers are possible on request).
The larger feeders are also available with an
integrated ejector-mechanism, which ejects the dry-food up to 8 m (optionally up
to 12 m) in front of the feeder. The feeder is usually placed on the edge
of a tank or above a dock and fixed via the two mounting holes on the sides.
All feeders are also available
without batteries but with transformer (220 V/AC to 12 V/DC) for the connection to an
electric network.
PNEUMATIC FEEDERS with blower
This easy to use and very robust
pneumatic feeder, is specially recommended for feeding on ponds or raceways,
where large feeding areas and a wide feed distribution are necessary. This
pneumatic feeders (230 V, 0,5 kw) work with two steps. With the help of a
gear motor a dosing finger is turned and removes the feed from the hopper
(step 1), and then brings it into the air stream of the blower (Step
2). The gear motor is available with one of the following two fixed speeds:
1. with one turn for a feed supply of approx. 100 g per minute (for 0-6 mm
pellets), or 2. with ten turns for a feed supply of approx. 1000 g per
minute (for 1-7 mm pellets). The exact feed amount depends on particle size
and feed manufacturer. The feed is spread up to 5 m onto the water surface.
For larger distances (up to 8 m), the feeders with larger hoppers (70-200
kg) are also available with stronger blower (230 V, 1,0 kw). The light green feed hoppers are
available in four sizes, for approx. 10, 20, 40 or 60 kg feed (larger up to
200 kg, on request). Feeders with smaller hoppers (20 kg or less) are
equipped with a foot plate, feeders with larger hoppers (40 kg or more) with
a foot frame. The feeding timer (with 10 m cable) is loose supplied with
standard hoppers (60 kg or less), but mounted on the hopper itself with
large hoppers (70 kg or more). It is easy programmable: Just enter start and
end of the daily feeding, the preferred feedings per day, and the total
feeding time per day. The rest will be done automatically. All models
are also available without blower (and without plate/frame), than the feed
just falls freely below the feeder itself.
PENDULUM FEEDERS
for self service
This pendulum
feeders are self-feeders. The pendulum made of fiberglass reaches into the
water. When fish
touch the pendulum, the feed falls down directly into the water. The slot between
feeder and cone can be adjusted. Available for two pellet sizes (2-9 mm or
3-14 mm). The light green feed hoppers are
available in four sizes, for approx. 10, 20, 40 or 60 kg feed. As accessories a ring
holder hopper support is available.
BELT FEEDERS with strong clockwork
 Since more than 30 years
this feeders are in use for save and exact feeding of fish fry and fingerlings. The
clockwork runs over (12 or 24 hours) and is started if the belt is returned (in the
morning) where the feed (up to 3-5 kg) is placed. The new clockwork with strong and
corrosion free steel spring and splash-proof acryl cover as well the plastic box lasts best
the weather conditions and guarantees a long live of the feeder.
The feeders are available in 2 sizes and have dimensions (L x W x H) of 560 x 200-300 x
150 mm (weight approx. 2-3 kg) and can easily used at any place without electric energy,
like nursing ponds.
AUTOMATIC FEEDING DEVICE for frozen zooplankton
20 years world wide experience in
the field of plankton research, catch and larval feeding are the basis of the new
"Plankton feeder", which was developed with the Institute of Fish research.
This device is designed for the professional application of frozen zoo plankton as a
larval diet in marine and fresh water hatcheries for the production of high quality
fingerlings like: Coregonids, Chars, Grayling, Salmon, Sturgeon, Sea bass, Sea bream,
Turbot, Grouper and other species. The technique is based on a timed "wash down"
of feed layers from large frozen plankton crumbs (up to 20 kg) and homogeneous
distribution of the thawed plankton rations to the larval tanks by a specially developed
self cleaning distributor. "Wash down" of the food layers and thawing can be
performed either through spraying or by flooding or by a combination of both facilities,
the remaining plankton is frozen immediately. The feed particle size can be perfectly
adjusted by a special sieving unit. In order to avoid membrane damage and leaching effects
of the thawed plankton organisms, the feed is distributed to the (up to 32) larval tanks
by gravity flow only. Automatic feeders for live
zooplankton (Artemia), on request.

VACUUM PUMPS with or without weighting system

For the lifting of fishes to grading machines and/or the loading of
transport tanks etc. this fish vacuum pump is especially suitable. The
functional principle is relative easy but effective, which helps to reduce
unnecessary breaks and expensive repairs. The fishes (up to 5 kg in body
weight and up to 16 t/h) are sucked up to 5 m in height, via an inlet funnel
over a 6 m long suction hose (150 or 200 mm Ø) by two vacuum tanks (each 150
l) which work in exchange. By a 0.6 m2 large separator with 8 mm grid
distance, the fishes are separated from water and glide so directly into a
transport tank etc. The water and fishes leave the unit by a hose (water
outlet 200 mm - fish outlet 230 mm Ø), which can be adjusted in height from
90-150 cm. The live fish pump has dimensions (L x W x H) of 360 x 155 x 230
cm) and a weight of approx. 650 kg. The motor (400 V/50 Hz, 4.0-7.5 kw) is
integrated into the housing. The 3 transport wheels and telescopic legs
guarantee that the unit stands well and is safe.
As option, there is a scale available, which weights the fishes (up to 1 kg
in body weight and up to 6 t/h) after the fish pump. The weighting results
(accuracy +/- 50 g) can be added and easily read from the display. The fish
scale has dimensions (L x W x H of 165 x 103 x 165 cm) and a weight of
approx. 190 kg.
MANUAL GRADING DEVICE for fry and fingerling
 Originally
developed at the Austrian Institute of Fisheries Economy in Scharfling, this simple but
effective sorting device is perfectly suitable for sorting of fry and fingerlings in small
to medium fish hatcheries and already used for centuries. The distances of the grating
can be easily adjusted by shaping the device to a rhomb. The seawater resistant
impregnated wooden frame keeps floating and an exact distance between the
aluminum
grates. The device is placed in one tank, than fishes are just put into the device, the
smaller fish go thru the grates while larger ones can't pass and are placed in another
tank. For grading into more than 2 size classes, the grates are enlarged by simply pushing
the whipable scale-bar, and so on.

This graders are made of aluminum and stainless
steel and are available for various fresh- and sea- water fishes from Salmoniformes and
Cypriniformes to Perciformes etc. The grading technology is based on 2-5 V-shaped channel
with moving plastic fingers below, which moves the fish until the channel is too wide for
the fish thickness and the fish are released to the collecting tanks below, from where
they are flushed with water to the outlets, and additionally by pipes back to the holding
ponds. During the whole grading process the fish are kept wet by water (submersible
pump as option). The machines are
mounted on a trolley with 2-3 wheels. Equipped with 380 V/50 Hz motor (230 V on request).

(from 5-5000 g) after an automatic grader. The counter is simply connected to the outlet
tube of the grader or any other tube.. Provided with programmed intelligence, the fish
counter performs various controls (auto-test) and informs the user in case of
failure. The
electronic display provides the following information: number of fish counted, status and
degree of sensivity selected. The two new sensors with transmitter and
receiver modules are mounted into a slide and are provided with an
electrical connector. The graphic display and the power supply cable are
also equipped with an electrical connector (Input 90-220 VAC/15 VDC). The
various connectors are connected in the junction box of the main module. All
electronic parts are sealed, easily removable and replaceable by the user.
The counters are available for fresh- or seawater use and supplied with a
set of separators and two support legs. A reception tank/funnel with 160/200
mm diameter pipe connection is available as accessory, as well as an inlet

ELECTRONIC COUNTERS for fry and fingerlings
 This fry counters have
been developed with particular emphasis on well-being of the fish. The counters operate
according to the "free-swim" principle: the fry or fingerlings (0,2-50,0 g
depending on species) are in their natural element all the time and swim through the
counter unit by instinct. Thus the counting will in no way cause stress to the fish. The
counters have patented nozzles that separate the fish by means of water so that each of
them passes the photoelectric cell - a simple and reliable way of counting the fry with
98-100 % accuracy. The counters are fitted with reliable electronic components with
memory. The electronic cylinder operates on chargeable batteries but may also be connected
to 220 V/50 Hz. Sensor unit and electronic cylinder are both water-resistant. The counters
are easy to use and to handle. No division according to size is required and only one
person is required to operate or move the counter.
Each counter includes a stainless steel water pump (220-240 V/50 Hz, 940 Watt, 11 kg with
a capacity of 12 m3/h), and frame to mount the counter on the edge of a tank or placing it
in a tank or cage. As accessories kits are available to count fry from 0,2-0,5 g.

MULTI PUMPS for many applications
 This pumps with vortex propeller
made from plastic can be mounted and used submerged inside the water (wet) as well as free
standing outside the water (dry) and are suitable for particles up to 6 mm. Because of the
strong ceramic bearing they are suitable for endurance run. All electric parts are
embedded completely in plastic and a thermo-switch works as a overload protection. The
split-pipe motor (220-240 V, 50-60 Hz) is specially energy saving and very maintenance
friendly. The large prefilter caps (front and back) can be removed without any tool. The
connections (pressure/suction) have 1,5 - 2,0 ". The pumps of this
serial have compact
dimensions and can be used for fresh and salt water. They are delivered complete with 10 m
cable and plough, as well as mounting feet and handle.

DIESEL
GENERATORS for endurance run
These compact synchrony-generators are more powerful than
asynchrony-generators. Motor, generator and exhauster are water cooled and need no air
ventilation. The cooling water can be used for heating. They are installed into an
encapsulate housing which guarantees low noises (52-54 dB). The units are easy to operate
with the supplied remote control unit. The diesel consumption is about 0.3 liter per
produced kwh.

ELECTRIC FISHING DEVICES with direct- or
impulse-current
This save and powerful electric fishing
devices are successfully in use on all continents since over 20 years. Through the various
and sometimes problematic areas of use, a wide range of devices was developed which will
match nearly any requirement.
All devices are build to EN 60335 and EN 55014-standards, IEC and VDE-regulations, and can
be TÜV-tested if preferred. The electric building corresponds to security class II.
Therefore all power delivering parts are double isolated and guarantee the best possible
security for persons. A "Totmannswitch" (in the European Union required)
guarantees for additional security, so that all outlets of the device are without electric
current if dangerous situations arise. The permanent excited generator and the high
quality magnet materials guarantee a continuous and reliable power. Each device will be
tested mechanically and electrically completely and delivered with user manual.
Direct current creates usually a better anodic reaction as impulse current would doe. But
at extreme conductivities or for electric barriers with direct current soon the borders
are reached. As result, powerful combined (Direct-/Impulse-Current) devices where
created, where the impulse frequency and volts can be adjusted (via motor turns or switch).
The back-carry units are compact lightweight systems with high outgoing power. Impulse
devices are a little larger and have a little more weight than direct current devices.
We deliver net-, battery- or petrol-driven back-carry- or stand-devices with
direct-
and/or impulse current with an outgoing power of 250-11.000 Watt (5-160 kw/impulse at
10-100 Impulse/sec.), and a current of 300-960 Volt with a weight of 10-135 kg and for a
conductivity of 50-10.000 µS.
As accessories are available: 30-50 cm Ø Stainlesssteel-Anodes with RGP-electro handles up
to 6 m in length, Copper-Cathodes with cable and connector, Plastic cable drums for up to
200 m cable, hand- or foot-Totmannswitch, Electro-rubber outfit (tested to 1000 Volt) as
well as tanks and lights.

ELECTRIC STUNNING DEVICE for all fishes
This device is
specially suitable for the fast and easy stunning (electroanesthesia) of fishes (up to 50
kg/cycle) before killing and slaughtering. It works with electricity over a transformer
(Input 230 Volt, Output 42 Volt). All parts of the device are made of corrosion free
materials. The handle with buttons and lights is made of plastic, the electrodes are made
of brass with honeycomb-like plastic cover. The device is available with or without
plastic container (approx. 60 l) and cover.
The fishes are placed in a plastic container together with water. For the stunning, both
electrodes are submerged into the water and the button is pressed, while the stunning
process is controlled by a lamp. To reach all fish correctly by electricity, the
electrodes of the device should be moved and turned horizontally. Fishes are
anesthetized within seconds and can be killed or slaughtered and gutted thereafter.
ELECTRIC STUNNING SYSTEM for much fishes
 This device is
specially suitable for the save and reliable stunning (electroanesthesia) of fishes (up to
200 kg/cycle) before killing and slaughtering. It works with electricity over a transformer
(Input 230 Volt, Output max. 160 Volt) with 3 adjustable regulation knobs for the pre-
and main stunning process which allows slowly increasing of the current and reduce internal
damage of the fishes. In normal cases the knob is in the middle position, in special
cases i.e. if always the same fish size or the same fish species are stunned, the
knobs
allow to optimize the results. All parts of the system are made from corrosion free
materials. The container with cover is made from plastic, the electrodes which are
fixed on two sides are made from stainless steel. The containers are available in 3
different sizes (90, 280 or 610 l volume).
The fishes are placed in the plastic container together with water and the cover is
closed. The control box should be mounted dry on a wall. For the stunning, the button on
the side of the control box is pressed, while the stunning process is controlled by a
lamp and terminated by an acoustic signal.
SPECIAL FISH KNIVES for the industry
This special stainless steel knives are

AUXILIARY FISH GUTTING DEVICES
for manual operation
This gutting devices are in use since more than 20 years
and a valuable help for small and medium processing plants. Depending on the
diameter of the suction pipe (standard 32 mm), they allow to
gut and clean
fish (like trout) from 150-1000 g (optionally up to 3000 g) in one rational
working process, without give the fish out of the hand. There is also no
need for turning over the fish in your hand as all sequences of operation
start from the vent. If the operator should slip in the direction of the
blade while cutting, an injury can be excluded.
With the adjustable and save gutting blade the ventral wall of the fish is
cut starting from the abdomen. As hygiene is the most important factor when
processing fish, injuries of the guts are also excluded. The suction head
has two scrape edges at its lower rim. While passing through the fish, all
remains (like kidney and blood) are removed. By pressing a button, an
automatic knife comes down and cuts the gorge, which is than sucked and
stored in a container. Optionally, after gutting the remaining blood is removed
by the rotating (1500 RPM, 20 cm diameter) round washing brush. The
rational working sequences enables one person to process 300-400 fish per
hour.
The new reworked and improved version (wall- and stand models) have a
gutting head which can be removed without tools and is dismantled in
seconds, which allows good cleaning and disinfection. The removable
suction head fits to usual 120 l waste containers, which allows easy and fast
replacing and deposition. These stainless steel gutting devices are delivered complete as table, wall or stand
units with or without compressor and vacuum cleaner and with or without round rinsing
brush.
AUTOMATIC GUTTING MACHINE
for continuous operation
This robust fish processing machine (for
fishes (like trout, charr, bass, mackerel and herring) is made
from stainless steel. A main point at development was the removement
of complicated and failing technique. The compact machine (LxWxH 2,6x0,6x1,9
m, weight 350 kg) is nearly maintenance free. Complicated and expensive engagements are
not necessary and the function via a button allows for rentable gutting (removement
of intestines and gills). The running speed of the
machine is adjustable, to
allow to feed the machine with the fish up to 3000 pc./h with a weight
between 150 and 1200 g (max. adapted to the double size difference e.g.
300-600 g). The water demand is about 500 l/h, air pressure min. 6 bar, electricity
1,2 kw/h 380 V/50 Hz (others on request). As accessories a
feeding tank (before the machine) and a control sunk (after the machine)
is available.
MANUAL SCALING DEVICE for all fishes
 This fish
scaling device is well protected from spray water, safe in operation and securely
insulated, tested to 4000 V. The 230 V/50 Hz ICE standard 0,1 kw motor can be used
continuously. The machine LxWxH of 23 x 24 x 19 cm with a weight of 9 kg, can be connected
to a grounded or non-grounded wall socket. The cover of the laminated, flexible axle (160
cm long) consists of two layers of steel, one layer of insulating compound and one layer
of plastic. The ball bearings in the top, with which the fish is scaled, are waterproof
and all outside parts are rustproof. The device is supplied completely with handle,
feet,
160 cm cable and plug.
As accessories a 6 mm strong plexiglas cover (LxWxH: 84x50x29 cm) is available, under which
the fish can be scaled to avoid spraying of scales during scaling.
AUTOMATIC SCALING MACHINES for many fishes
 The
robust, solidly constructed machines with belt drive offer perfect scaling technology,
with their design (body in stainless steel, automatic time selector and control valve for
reduced water consumption) and complete operational safety (auto-stop control, motor
protection, restart protection).
Scaling takes place at the bottom and sides of the machine and offers the advantages of
short (approx. 1-5 minutes per scaling cycle), low-noise scaling cycles and reduced water
consumption. The water used in the scaling process is accumulated, so that the fish are
thoroughly washed and a soft cushion of water is formed. This provides a flexible support
and ensures that the scaling action is very gentle (fishes are not exposed to heavy bumps
or impacts). The auto-stop control automatically stops the machine when the loading lid,
top lid or release flap is opened. Gentle release is ensured because the machine restarts
slowly and the start button must be pressed and held down, which is an added safety
feature. An automatic shut down with manual restart guards against automatic start-up
after a power failure. The scaling machines are supplied either with a karborundum drum
for soft fish or small scales and with a round-hole drum for clams and hard fish or large
scales. The machine is also available with a dirty water drain on the left-hand side
(standard at the right side).

FILETING MACHINE for some fishes
This compact
machine allow to fillet all fish with up to a height of 110-130 mm and a weight of 100-1000 g
fast and exact, without gutting the fish. The machine (380 V/50 Hz, 0,55 kw) is made of stainless steel and
easily cleaned with water. A high output (up to 1.000 fish or approx. 500 kg/h) and safety measurements
allow a fast working. The compact design (LxWxH: 118 x 60 x 120 cm) and the low weight
(approx. 88 kg) allow to use it on nearly any place.
With the rotating round-knife (1400 RPM), first the head is cut off. Following, the fish is put in
the machine head-cut first and belly-up. The fish is now forwarded by special grip belts
to the round-knifes and 2 fillets are cut. The cut is adjustable, thus allowing a low
waste of meat (Filet approx. 40-50 %). The belly bones have to cut of manually. The
skin
can also be removed manually or by skinning machines. A continuous cleaning is
done by
water spray nozzles.
FILLETING MACHINE for much fishes
The transformation of fish into fillets offer
an interesting value added profit margin and is directly depending with the filleting
costs. This new generation of filleting machines now comes in different sizes, with
dimensions suited to various fish sizes and species (Salmon, Trout, Charr, Whitefish,
Perch, Pikeperch, Bass, Bream, Mackerel, Bonito, Tuna, Pollack etc.) permitting an
efficient filleting of fish with minimum loss of product and high yield production of
50-80 % (salmonids) of splitted fillets. The productivity depends on the operator skill
and process chain but is about 10-30 fish/min (approx. 1-3 t/h depending on fish size).
The yield is directly depending on the state of the freshness and consistency of the fish,
its fat content and maturity, as well as the cut of the head (I-, C- or V-cut). The simple
mechanic solutions based on rigorous geometric principles in combination with a sensitive
system to the thickness of each fillet, allow the machine to process fishes of various
sizes (from 0.1 to 6.0 kg) without setting changes. The type number means the maximum fish
height between anus and dorsum in mm, which the machine can handle. The smart design and
sturdy construction (made in stainless steel) insure a long life to meet high conditions
and norms of hygiene. All machines work with 2 or 4 blades (and 1 or 2 electric 400
Volt/50 Hz motors), are efficient and easy to clean and maintenance. Each machine has 2
wheels for easy movement. The standard height of the fish inlet is 80 cm and the fillet
outlet 77 cm above the ground (other dimensions are possible on request). The
beheaded
and gutted fishes are loaded by hand into the machine. A 10-12 cm high transport belt
carefully transfers (approx. 20 m/s) the fish to the round blades knifes which run not
parallel but axial. The blades cut the fillets and separate the waste bones, thus saving
over 50-75 % of the production time. The filleting machines are available with 2 or 4
blades either for the production of fillets with belly bones (ribs) or for the production
of fillets without belly bones (ribs). The water requirement during filleting is about
300-500 l/h. A sharpening tool to use directly on the machine is available as accessory.

BONE CUTTERS for fish filets
With this compact manual devices made from
stainless steel, you can cut (cutting wide 9, 15 or 30 cm) fast and easy the Y-bones in
fillets from bony rich fishes (like cyprinids, etc.). With this cutting in small distances
(every 3-4 mm), the numerous Y-bones are chopped in very small pieces, so that they are
no longer detected or dangerous in the fillets and can be eaten comfortably with the meat.
With a special adapter (available as accessories) you can also cut now the fillets in chips
or stripes (and, for example serve it fried or on salad).
There is also a stripe or cube cutter available (i.e. for herring or salmon) which saves
about 50 % of working time. The cutting distance can be chosen in steps of 4 mm, i.e. 8,
12, 16, 20 mm (please mention at order).
On request also an electric bone cutter is available.
PINBONE REMOVERS for fish filets
For removing of small and unwanted pin-bones from larger fresh, de-frosted or
smoked filets (from about 150 g filet weight on, like: Salmons, Trout and
Chars)
different pinboners, from compact handheld devices to automatic band machines, are
available. All machines (motor: 220-240 V, 50-60 Hz) are building from non-corrosive
material to the quality and work with the same principles. The deboning unit can je
adjusted in height, angel and speed. The belt can also be adjusted in speed. During
operation, the machine units are kept clean with water or air. The unique mechanical
picking action of these pinboners gently removes neck- and pin-bones (90-95 % at single-
and 95-100 % at twin-systems), leaving fillets looking their best. Pinboning is not only
removing the pin bones, but important is also not to break pin bones, not to bleach the
fillet by water, and keep the fillet without gaping. They are very user and
maintenance friendly and allow fast working. The pinboners are ideal for use by fish
processors, fish mongers, fish shops, fish restaurants etc., giving excellent results with
best possible yields and minimum weight loss. Optionally all machines are available as
twin models (with 2 heads after each other). As accessories also a vacuum system is
available which sucks away the bones and water from the fillets.

a foot-switch, turnable plate, adjustable knives and a water spray unit. With all machines the filets
can be either skinned with stump blade or also with sharp blade. At skinning with stump
blade (silver skinning) nearly no waste is generated, at working with sharp blade (deep
skinning), the skinning depth can be adjusted from 0 to 2-4 mm. Types C are equipped with a cog-roller
(for fish with a tough or thick skin) and types S with
cleaning-centrifuge (for fish with a soft or thin skin).
The Table- and Stand-models are open on top and the last ones have a beared knife-holder and fixable turning-wheels. The Band-models are suitable for large quantities and guarantee highest security during
working, because they are switched off if the cover is opened. The skinning
depth can be adjusted here from 0 to 5 mm. They have a beared and from
outside adjustable pressure unit (opening height max. 70 mm), which adapts automatically
to the filets and is available with different performance depending on the fish
species
(soft wheels, hard roller for salmon or soft balloon). Optionally, the band-models
can be equipped with special designed curved blades, which allow in one working process to
skin and remove the red-brown muscle segments along the sides of the sensory canal from
fresh or smoked filets completely which was one of the most difficult problem during
normal skinning by hand. Additionally they have a removable charging and forwarding belt.

ELECTRIC PRESSURE CHAMBER for smoking and grilling
 Our implements are
produced by modern machines and they are installed and approved accurately by hand. Due to
continuing further development and in close cooperation with the leading professional
institutes and associations of fish- and meat industry, as well as due to many suggestions
from application in gastronomy, this devices are the most matured smoker, a fact that is
confirmed by the best cooks all over the world, as well as by FIMA (marketing institute of
the fish industry), by many professional associations as for example VDK (association of
cooks) and last but not least by many foreign unions and professional hotel schools.
This smokers with its approved technic are in operation worldwide. It is a product for
special gastronomy as smoking is possible at any time in presence of the customer - also
in delicatessen-shops, in the groceries store, at the butchers, at the party-service,
restaurants, beer-gardens etc.
In the electronic pressure chamber grill and fumigator you can easily prepare hot or cold
smoked specialties ready to serve within very short times. You can work with the oven in
closed rooms - smoking indoors - always a pleasure. Fish and meat are not cooked directly
by firewood or infrared heat, but indirectly by the hot air inside of the pressure
chamber. The tightly closing door guarantees that only a very small amount of smoke and
thus nearly no moisture are let out. Proper gravy will be preserved, which is a great
advantage in comparison to other smoking processes. Fish is put, with its belly up, onto
the special grates. Flat-fish, fillet, meat are smoked on the flat grids.
Flavor and
proper gravy will remain. Cooking without addition of grease, therefore low on calories.
Constant temperature and optimal diffusion of smoke (pressure) will lead to a good cooking
and a golden-brown color of the smoked food. After the timer has run off, smoke will
deposit on the inside of the walls. The darker they are, the better the taste will be. The
special heat-resisting sealing of the doors needs neither maintenance nor renewal. Very
low energy costs, over 60% of cooking-terms you can grill and cook without electricity.
The double-casing guarantees that no water can enter. All electric parts are protected.
Both the interior and exterior of the smokers as well as tin-plates and grates are made of
stainless steel. No rusting or loss of color and enamel. Very short pre-heating times and
very low energy consumption due to completely insulated double-casing. Heating with
thermostatic regulation, automatic timer. Switches and
control lamps on the front side a design suitable for modern kitchen. A new
version (HS-36) in Gastro-Norm (GN) is also available. Herewith all usual (GN 1/1 to 1/3)
containers or grids from other kitchen equipment will also fit in this
smoking oven (or visa versa). This allows easy and better use in the
professional kitchen. The standard outfit consist of stainless steel
vessel with smoke- and drip-pan, 1-2 racks and 1-2 grids as well as user
manual
with recipes.

SMOKING CABINETS with
wood-, gas- or electro-heater
With this smoker you will
get a state-of-the-art and high-quality product,
containing over 30 years of development and experience. Most remarkable features are
compact design and simple operation.
Depending on smoker, different heaters for different firing methods are
available, which are even exchangeable at some medium smoking cabinets. A
wood-heater is especially suitable for cold-smoking. For warm- and
hot-smoking, a gas- or an electro-heater is more appropriate. For easier
cold-smoking, an (electric) external cold-smoke generator or producer is
available optionally for most smoking cabinets.
The smokers are partly available in different construction metals: hot
galvanized or stainless steel (V2A), and in different sizes with 3-9
layers, which have a capacity of 20-400
pieces of fish or 10-250 kilograms of meat. All
smokers come complete with smoke pipe regulator, condensate-, smoke- and drip-pan,
as wel as thermometer (or digital controll). Smoking
hooks, spits or grids, as well as smoke pipes (130 mm diameter) are available as accessories.
The larger models can be equipped optionally with trolley, ventilator,
illumination and/or window.

ISOLATED SMOKING DEVICES made of stainless
steel
Good and consistent curing
results appeal to your customers and widens your customer base best. This electrically
(380 Volt/50 Hz) heated smoking devices have a capacity of 100-300 fishes (resp. 70-200 kg
meat) per smoking time of 30-90 minutes. The 3 switchable (2/4/6 kw) heating coils with
the precision thermostat, timer and thermometer produces heat and smoke for cooking and
smoking slowly. A smoke pipe connection (120 mm), and the well double isolated (50 mm)
walls and door prevents heat loss and makes curing possible also in closed rooms. The fish
to be cured either be laid on the racks or hung on curing hooks on the racks. As
accessories special curing hooks, racks and curing meal (wood chips) are available. A

SALMON FISHES (Salmonidae)
The breeders
origin from populations of alpine lakes and rivers (Danube Basin). Available
as eggs or fingerlings, suitable for stocking in lakes or rivers, as well as for the production of seafood
- Arctic Charr (Salvelinus alpinus umbla):
A colorful fish, suitable especially for alpine lakes and reservoirs.
Lake Trout (Salmo trutta lacustris):
A fast and large-growing fish, which feeds naturally on other fishes.
European Grayling (Thymallus
thymallus): A very beautiful fish, suitable especially for rivers.
Danube Salmon (Hucho hucho):
A relatively rare fish, suitable only for larger rivers.
STURGEON FISHES
(Acipenseridae)
After years of studies and
experiments among most known sturgeon species and hybrids, now from our own
broodstock available from fertilized eggs to pregraded all-females (with CITES) - Siberian Sturgeon (Acipenser baerii):
An easy to keep sturgeon which is used mainly for meat and caviar
aquaculture production.
Russian Sturgeon (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii): A
beautiful sturgeon (light scutes on dark ground) which is well accepted as
ornamental fish for garden ponds. Ship Sturgeon (Acipenser nudiventris): A rare
and interesting sturgeon which builds also freshwater resident populations
(in the Ural and Danube rivers).
Beluga Sturgeon (Huso huso): The "caviar fish"
with the best growth rate, within 2 years a weight of up to 10 kg can be
obtained with a water temperature of 20°C.
SPAWNING AGENTS for finfish
In nature, reproductive development and spawning in finfish is
controlled by environmental factors such as temperature, photoperiod, nutrition, water
quality, and presence of spawning substrate. In aquaculture, it is not always possible or
economically feasible to replicate natural conditions especially as many species are now
grown some distance from their original geographic location. Thus, endocrine or a
combination of endocrine and environmental manipulations are utilized to facilitate
reproduction. In the last decade significant research has been conducted worldwide on
ripening fish sexuality using various preparations.
Carp Pituitary Extract (CPE) are acetone dried pituitaries of carps, which are pulverized
and can be used to speed up maturation (induced maturation) as well as the spawning
process itself (induced spawning). Intramuscular injections are highly effective in
increasing the incidence of spawning as well as possibly increasing egg take in certain
species. The potential economic benefits of taking eggs earlier (or later) in a given
season or in fact eliminating seasonality altogether in certain climates and regions are
significant. Carp pituitary extract contains a variety of pituitary hormones, including
gonadotropins, which are effective for the induction of final maturation and ovulation.
CPE is administered in distilled water or physiological saline and injected
intramuscularly
at a dose of 1-10 Milligram/kg fish. Available in vials of 1 Gramm (= 1000 Milligram).
TRANQUILIZERS for aquatic animals
Eugénol
(Clove-oil) is a very useful, natural and
environmental friendly tranquilizer, which can be used for various fish species. A higher
tolerance against longer exposure times gives a greater security and makes the application
under practice condition much more easier. Because of the low dosage (30-50 ppm) there
occurs also no alteration of the taste of the fishes. Available as pure oil in vials of
10 or 100 Milliliter.
DISINFECTANTS for aquaria and aquaculture
We supply various chemicals for
disinfection in aquaculture and
aquaria. Some chemicals are in some countries only allowed for fish which are not used for
human consumption, like eggs, spawners or ornamental fish.
The following chemicals are available:
Actomar
for
disinfection of equipment, fish and
eggs;
Chloramine against gill diseases and Myxobacteria;
Copper sulfate against gill diseases and algae;
Virkon
against bacterioses and
viroses;
STARTERBACTERIA for
ponds and recirculation systems
For the startup and stabilization of
biological filters in recirculation systems, but also for biological cleaning of water in
culture or garden ponds, special bacteria sets have been developed. The highly active
bacteria also help to stabilize existing or old filter systems. Available as liquid
product in containers of 5 l or as dry product in containers of 400 g, each reaching for up to 50 m3.
CONSULTING for aquaculture and fishery
An European-wide 25 years' experience and know how in the field of
aquaculture, longtime cooperation with important scientific institutes and researchers,
worldwide contacts and the experience-exchange on numerous international congresses and
symposiums are the base of our respectable and successful consulting in management of
waters and fish stocks, and in planning and construction of production systems, not only
for freshwater but also for brackish- and seawater.
In cooperation, our team can offer:
Natural waters:
Consulting in questions of water-management, composition of ecologic rational
stocking-plans. Accompany (also scientifically) on restocking-projects for Sturgeons,
Salmons, Trout, Pearlmussels a.s.o. Realizing of water-investigations and
fishstock-examinations. Settlement of fishing-actions with electricity, seine- and
gillnets in lakes and rivers. Planktoncatch- and stockanalysis for lakes, ponds, lagoons
and fjords etc.
Management of fish-stocks in fresh- and seawater. Solutions for parasite-problems, slow
growing fish-stocks or to low catch-quotes. Suggestions for high catch-compulsion.
Breeder-catch, re-production and reward rearing of autochthone and sensible fish
species and forms (with zooplankton).
Production systems:
Planning of farming and production systems for freshwater and marine fishes as well as
shrimp. Calculation and preparation of economy- and feasibility-studies as well as water-
and market analysis and project reports and funding proposals. Engineering in the field of
aquaculture and marine. Construction of hatchery-, nursery-, netcage-, recirculation- and
docking-systems. Management and marketing for fish production plants. Education and
mediation of professional personnel for aquaculture and fishery.
We also developed a new economy-business plan model, based on a table calculation program
(like MS Works, Excel or Lotus). You can enter all variables like: feeding rates an
conversion factors, survival and selling rates, stocking density and tank sizes, prices
etc. and it will calculate approximately forecast growth and stocks, investment and
operation costs and all other requirements.
Get in touch opportunely is important for rational planning
and success!
PUBLICATIONS about fish and farming
The Sturgeons and Paddlefishes (Acipenseriformes)
of the World: Biology and Aquaculture.
By Martin Hochleithner and Jörn Gessner.
An extended, updated and reviewed third edition. Soft- or Hardcover, 248 pages.
The breeding
and culture of sturgeons in captivity has advanced rapidly over the past several years.
With recent developments, the requirements of the industry have changed, and the
techniques used have also evolved and been adapted to meet these changing needs. Based on
experience gained in the the former
USSR, new technologies have been developed, and the
background of sturgeon biology has been enlightened in many respects. This compendium is
designed to close the information gap between scientists and practitioners. Its appeal
will be far reaching since biologists, field technicians, hatchery operators and fish
farmers, fisherman and fish enthusiasts, will all find a wealth of practical information
relevant to their field of interest. The book has the style of a species synopsis coupled
with everything anyone needs to know about the reproduction and culture of acipenserid
fishes. It summarizes current knowledge on all sturgeon and paddlefish species worldwide
and presents it as a practitioner-oriented working guide. It draws on the experience and
research findings of the authors gained over more than two decades. The new, third edition
has been updated, extended, and reviewed, and includes many new color illustrations. It
value will be timeless.
Sturgeon Fishes (Acipenseriformes):
Science as Art.
By Paul Vecsei and Martin Hochleithner.
Hardcover, 120 pages.
Sturgeon illustrator Paul Vecsei and sturgeon farmer Martin
Hochleithner are both internationally well known specialists in the field of sturgeon
research and aquaculture. In this volume, they showcase the numerous sturgeon species and
highlight the plasticity of sturgeon morphology (both within and between species) using
more than 130 detailed illustrations and many summary tables. The material in this book is
the culmination of 5000 hours of scientific illustrations. Each illustration is of an
individual fish and is extremely accurate. They are made in the technique of pointillism,
a known fine-art technique. Each picture is made by small dots, which, when viewed for a
distance, creates a very detailed rendition of shape and form. Sturgeon
aficionados,
sturgeon experts and art lovers will appreciate the collection of illustrations in this
unique work.
The Bibliography of Acipenseriformes:
With over 10000 References.
By Martin Hochleithner, Jörn Gessner and Sergej Podushka.
Available as searchable electronic version (on CD-ROM) or printed book version (over
500 pages).
This bibliography, which includes nearly all
publications from around the world, and covers all Acipenseriforms and a range of topics,
is intended to serve as a ready reference for researchers, fisheries managers,
aquaculturists and conservationists who work with this ancient fish group. The numerous
references are listed alphabetically by author(s) and chronologically by year(s), as the
original title. Almost all sturgeon- and paddlefish species are threatened or endangered.
Information on them is by no means complete, whether in fields related to sturgeon
culture, biology, ecology or management. Due to the current rate of wild-stock
exploitation and environmental degradation, the availability of new information might
prove crucial for their survival. This is an attempt to disseminate information about work
carried out to date, and to increase its availability.
The Bibliography of Acipenseriformes:

An update for the years 2000-2009. Paperback, 280 pages.
This bibliography, which covers all
Acipenseriforms and a range of topics, is intended to serve as a ready reference for
researchers, fisheries managers, aquaculturists and conservationists who work with this
ancient fish group. Almost all sturgeon- and paddlefish species are threatened or
endangered. Information on them in any field is by no means complete, whether related to
sturgeon culture, biology, ecology or management. In many aspects sturgeon biology is very
different from that of other fishes, and techniques suitable for other species may not
work with them. Due to the current rate of wild-stock exploitation, the availability of
new information might prove crucial for their survival. This is an attempt to disseminate
information about work carried out to date, and to increase its availability. This is the
