INSTALLATION

Connect the hopper to the feeder by the tube flange with a screwdriver.
Install the feeder minimum 0.6 m above the water line.
Make always sure that the feeder motor doe not submerge in water.
Hopper supports (tube or ring holders) are available as accessories.
The tube holder consist of a plastic tube including pre-assembled screwed connections and respective openings at the hopper (which are mounted after transport as hoppers cannot be piled if tube is assembled). Then the hopper is slipped on a tube with max. 60 mm in diameter.

Mounting example

Mount the electronic control unit splash-proof and on a moisture save place. Connect the unit (transformer) to the (220 V/50 Hz) electric circuit. Connect the (2 poole) cable from the feeders with the control unit(s). Here, make sure that the cables from the feeders are connected the right way, blue is minus (-) and brown is plus (+).
If you need additional cables, use such with minimum 1 mm2 in cross section. You can also use distributor boxes to connect some (up to 12) feeders to the box and from there one cable to the main electronic control unit.
The power at the feeders should be approx. 7 Volt. If you use long cables and the power is to low, there is the possibility to set the system from 7 to 9 or 12 Volt. In this case, open the electronic control unit and set the turnable knob at the transformer to a higher value. Is the power again to low (this is the case if the feed distribution is to low), a second electronic control unit is to install.

Installation example

Model "Superspreader" only:

If possible connect not more that 8 feeders "Superspreader" to the electronic control unit, because the electric power from there is max. 2.5 Ampere. If you connect more feeders, the feed spreading wide is to reduce at 3 units. If less than 8 feeders are connected to the electronic control unit, the feed spreading wide is to reduce at two units (from scale 10 to 8). In order to archive a continous power distribution and to secure that the system is not overload to much, the distribution wide (of 3 mm pellets) should be set to max. to 4-6 m.

SETTING THE FEEDER

Adjust black star-shaped knob (located on the top, beside the tube sleeve) by turning 2-3 times (clockwise) so that the conveyor roll is allowed free movement inside the casting.
The food falls downwards through a gap as soon as the conveyor roll starts turning.
If the quantity of food discharged from the hopper is insufficient or to much (depending on pellet size), turn the adjusting knob (by one turn).

Adjusting

SETTING THE COMPUTER

Open the clear cover of the electronic control unit. Set the main switch from "off" to "on".
Turn the dial of the time switch in direction of the arrow and set the time against the actual time. Push the blue segments to the left for the operation time chosen (1 segment = 15 min.). Set the timer to the requested time of the day, when the feeder should beginn to work and end, between this time frame, the timer can additionally be set or the feeder switched "off" and "on" (see notes of the time switch).
For setting feeding times and breaks each, two turnable knobes are available. Each of the right turnable knob is to select seconds, minutes or hours. Each of the left turnable knob is to set the values 0-1 or 1-10 unlimited, depending on the values of the right knob. For example: If the right knob is set to 1-10 sec., you can set on the left knob the feeding time or pause unlimited from 1 to 10 seconds.

SETTING THE SPREADER

The model "Superspreader" is provided with a reversible front-roundspreader.
The spreading direction and area (sector- or roundspreading) can be adjusted by turning the spreader motor and disk.
If the spreader motore and disk is positioned below the center of the feed outlet cone, the unit spreads the feed in all directions. In this case remove the disc guide. If the feed cone is enlarged to approx. 7-8 cm a little better round spreading is archived.
If the spreader motore and disk is positioned at one side (left or right) of the feed outlet cone, the unit spreads the feed in one direction, depending on the side. The required feed spreading direction is then archived by positioning the whole feeder the appropriate position. If necessary, the turning side of the motore can be changed if the cables in the feeder cone are changed.
Up to 40 m diameter spreader are available on request.
